JULY!!

Here's our July blog installation... what a busy month! Lots of traveling, lots of gardening, lots of chasing our... (I hate to say this)..... toddler around everywhere!!!!

Here's Hannah riding in her wagon on the way back from the garden with a bowl full of peas - she loves to eat them right off the vine.

We rented a friend's house on Block Island for a week in the beginning of the month.... it's an old place with a beautiful view...

Hannah loved the beach! Though the waves were scary until the very last day when she wanted us to keep dipping her in the foamy water, until her little lips turned blue!

Hannah brought her favorite books with her...

We went clamming......

and made my favorite, linguine with clams............. YUMMY!

Jim rented a pontoon boat and we cruised around the Great Salt Pond....

Here's Hannah playing on the beach........

And here she is running around in the sand.....

Hannah and our friend Amy's dog at the house...

Here's Hannah at Lake Mansfield in Great Barrington when we got home.... She likes the water a lot.... but she thinks she can swim.... Yikes!

Then we were off to Vermont for a week with Pop-Pop and Ga-Ga. We stayed on Otter Creek near Vergennes at the mouth of Lake Champlain. It was a beautiful place, but sadly it rained nearly constantly for the entire week.

Mary Beth, Hannah and I did have a wonderful day at Shelburne Farms....
Hannah tried out lots of tractors...

We took a wagon ride..

Hannah trying out the wheel barrow

she joined some hens for a dust bath

At the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory....... she was sleepy

Hannah running around Shelburne Farms like she owns the place

We got a little stir crazy by the end of the trip. Good thing Jim is so full of fun ideas!

Hannah harvested her first carrot when we got back to Sheffield - Yum!
